STAR SYSTEM

A new certification system, studied mainly for Europeans, based on training criteria far above those of any other international scuba agency. These system takes into account the individual's theoretical and practical training, as well as the diving experience.
 

1 Star Diver

This certification should be given to an IDEA Open Water Diver, after an additional training (2 dives in the 20-25 meters range). The certification qualifies a diver to engage in recreational open water diving to the maximum depth of 18 meters without supervision and to the maximum depth of 25 meters under supervision.
 

2 Star Diver

This certification should be given to an IDEA Advanced Open Water Diver, after an additional training (2 dives in the 30-35 meters range). The certification qualifies a diver to engage in recreational open water diving to the maximum depth of 30 meters without supervision and to the maximum depth of 35 meters under supervision.
 

3 Star Diver

This certification should be given to an IDEA Deep Diver, certified Dive Medic (or equivalent) and Rescue Diver also, after an additional training (5 dives in the 40-45 meters range). The certification qualifies a diver to engage in recreational open water diving to the maximum depth of 40 meters without supervision and to the maximum depth of 45 meters under supervision.
